On the 17th of December, the Cheongju branch of the Shincheonji Volunteer Group and Mother Nature Environmental Movement association, Chungbuk association had a special agreement ceremony in Cheongju. The two organizations signed an MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) in order to have a positive impact on the local community with all their strength, hoping each other’s cooperation onwards.



At the agreement ceremony, Byun Jae-jun, head of the Cheongju branch, emphasized the responsibility towards the local community, saying, “Through the appreciation plaque we received today, we will not forget its meaning and will continue showing love for our neighbors.

In addition, the chairman of North Chungcheong association, Kim Gwi-hyeon said, “The warm hearted mind of the Shincheonji Volunteer Group, which cares for underprivileged families, and the basic values
​​of environmental organizations came together to reach this MOU agreement,” and pledged to create a bright society together.


The start of the ‘Long live 100 years’ program

 This agreement is called ‘Long live a hundred years’ and is carried out as a regular volunteer activity to support the elderly’s healthy and happy retirement. This embodies our determination to help local seniors enjoy a better life under the slogan, “Even if you live just one day, it’s a wonderful life.”




‘Little Finger Volunteer Work’ with the Disabled

 In addition, the Cheongju branch plans to cooperate with the Cheongju City Lawnball Federation for the Disabled to carry out the ‘Little Finger Volunteer Activity’ where disabled and non-disabled people share hope together. These activities, including hairdressing services and disability awareness campaigns, will help bring together different people to make the community warmer.




Efforts leading to various volunteer activities

 The Cheongju branch of the Shincheonji Volunteer Group communicates with local residents through various volunteer activities every year, and also conducts environmental protection campaigns such as 'Jayeonya Purja' and 'The more the better, the more the pot is shared.' In this way, the Shincheonji Volunteer Group is constantly working for the health and happiness of the local community.
