Shincheonji Volunteer Group Pohang Branch Holds “Safe School” Campaign at Yeongildae Beach

The Pohang Branch of the Shincheonji Volunteer Group (led by Director Choi Jeong-hyeon) held a “Safe School” campaign at Yeongildae Beach on September 30. The event aimed to promote community safety and traffic awareness ahead of the holiday season, when road congestion and accidents typically increase.

The “Safe School” campaign is part of the branch’s monthly initiative encouraging citizens to learn disaster response skills and foster a culture of proactive safety and prevention.

During the campaign, five programs were conducted:

▲ vehicle inspection and safe driving education,

▲ a traffic safety OX quiz,

▲ introduction of Pohang City’s free vehicle inspection service,

▲ writing New Year’s wish postcards under the full moon, and

▲ a Chuseok sharing event.

Volunteers handed out safety leaflets and kits while providing guidance on responsible driving practices. Participants also pledged to drive safely and expressed their holiday wishes through the postcard activity.

One participant shared, “Listening to the safety tips made me reflect on my driving habits and sense of responsibility on the road. I’ll make sure to check my car and drive more carefully in the future.”

Director Choi Jeong-hyeon stated, “We hope this campaign helps raise citizens’ awareness of traffic safety and contributes to accident prevention during the holiday period. The Pohang Branch will continue to hold regular campaigns to build a safer local community.”
