Amidst the cold winter, a time to warm hearts: The story of the Shincheonji Volunteer Group's Cheonan branch sharing kimchi.
The Cheonan branch of the Shincheonji Volunteer Group held a kimchi-sharing service in the Cheonan Church parking lot from the 4th to the 6th, during the cold snap.
During this service, 200 boxes of carefully made kimchi were delivered to five local organizations, including the Cheonan branch of the Vietnam Veterans Association.
Even though the bitter wind blew, the volunteers' hands did not stop. Every head of cabbage, every spoonful of seasoning was imbued with a heart for neighbors.
One volunteer who participated in the kimchi-making event said, "Making kimchi myself made me realize why the kimchi I used to eat at home was so warm," and reflected on
the meaning of sincerity.
Another foreign volunteer said, "Making kimchi made me understand the Korean concept of 'jeong' (affection) in my heart," and pledged to live a life of loving neighbors.
"Your unwavering support every year is our greatest strength," and expressed their deep gratitude.
The Cheonan branch has consistently carried out activities essential to the community, such as mural painting and hairdressing, in addition to kimchi sharing.
A box of kimchi delivered a sense of warmth ahead of the cold winter.
Inside it was a message: "A warm winter because we're together."
