The Tokyo branch of the Shincheonji Volunteer Group conducts an environmental cleanup at Asukayama Park

“We will show our positive influence through action.”

The Tokyo branch of the Shincheonji Volunteer Group recently carried out an environmental cleanup at Asukayama Park in Kita Ward. After a pause during the pandemic, the volunteers resumed their activities, filling the park with warm, helping hands.

Both longtime members and first-time participants joined the effort. The sight of people of all ages—from young children to adults—working side by side caught the attention of passersby and brought smiles to their faces.

One volunteer shared, “We may come from different countries, but our hearts are the same. We want to spread the culture of ‘good influence’ that’s so loved in Korea—through our actions.” Volunteers from Japan, Korea, China, and other countries took part, showing that despite differences in culture and language, they are united in their desire to do good.

After their brief hiatus, the Tokyo branch has returned with a more mature and dedicated presence. Many look forward to the positive changes they will continue to bring to communities across Japan.
