Shincheonji Volunteer Group Removes 1.5 Tons of Farm Waste in Cheongdo (Cheongdo Agricultural Waste Cleanup Volunteer story)
Three regional branches of the Shincheonji Volunteer Group (Daegu–Gyeongbuk, Busan–Gyeongnam West, and Busan–Gyeongnam East) carried out a large-scale environmental cleanup in Hyeon-ri, Punggak-myeon, Cheongdo County, Gyeongbuk Province.
About 300 volunteers participated, collecting agricultural waste and household trash along a 1.5km section from Odong Bridge to Seonggok Reservoir, as well as in village alleys and nearby farmland. They also helped with weeding and removing abandoned plastic sheets and pesticide containers across approximately 7,000 pyeong of orchards and fields.

Around 1.5 tons of waste were collected that day, and local residents expressed sincere gratitude for the much-needed support in an area facing labor shortages.
Beyond environmental activities, Shincheonji Volunteer Group has continued various social contribution efforts, including blood donation drives, disaster recovery assistance, and support for vulnerable communities.
While any organization may be viewed from different perspectives, it is also important to recognize the tangible help being provided on the ground. Rather than criticizing based only on limited information, a more balanced approach that acknowledges positive actions and sincere efforts may be helpful.
Respecting one another and appreciating contributions to society can help build a healthier and more understanding community
