“Getting my hair done while enjoying beautiful music made me feel truly happy.”
On January 28, the Jecheon Branch of the Shincheonji Volunteer Group (Branch Director Jun-ho Jung) held its regular volunteer program, Donghaeng (“Walking Together”), for members of local veterans’ organizations in Jecheon, North Chungcheong Province.
Donghaeng is a monthly outreach program that focuses on building lasting relationships with veterans through continued visits, care, and meaningful interaction. This month’s event featured professional haircutting services along with a heartwarming accordion performance.
The beauty services were thoughtfully tailored to each participant’s requests, helping everyone feel refreshed and cared for. Throughout the session, volunteers and veterans shared friendly conversations, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The live accordion music added an extra layer of joy, with many participants clapping along and smiling brightly.

Lee Sang-gu, head of the Jecheon Chapter of the Agent Orange Veterans Association, shared his appreciation, saying,
“More members are joining thanks to the Jecheon Branch’s haircut services. Today, the wonderful accordion performance made both our ears and hearts happy.”๐
Volunteer Cho Soon-young (50, from Yeongcheon-dong, Jecheon) also reflected on the experience:
“I feel grateful to share my skills through these monthly haircut services. Seeing how happy the members are makes every visit meaningful.”๐
A representative from the Jecheon Branch explained,
“We planned this activity to offer seniors not only grooming services but also moments of culture and connection through music. We will continue creating diverse programs to strengthen our bond with veterans and bring warmth to the community.”๐
Through its ongoing Donghaeng program, the Jecheon Branch continues to nurture strong ties with veterans, putting values of respect, compassion, and solidarity into action within the local community.
